The Top 10 Albums of 2010: According to SirChuckD

These albums are better than any other I've listened to from the year of 2010. The National takes top spot with their, dare I say "perfect", album High Violet. This album will be remembered for years to come and probably as the masterpiece of this band. They have released four other albums since 1999 and this album is as polished as any "mainstream" album that may take the top spot on Yahoo Music, Myspace, or any other reputable music site (and I sigh at "reputable"). Broken BellsSufjan Stevens, Kanye West, & Yeasayer are also regarded highly, not only on this blog but on a few other blogs I've been following over the past few months. There should be a little bit of everything down below, as 2010 did not disappoint. There is no country because that deserves its own Top 10 list and because I am less than an amateur in listening to country music. I may delve into that this year if I start drinking enough Jack or Jim while in the company of like folk. I've embedded enough tracks below for you to listen to and decide if you want to purchase the entire album. Enjoy and let me know what you think! Is there an album I missed that you thought should definitely be on this list? Which was your favorite?

1. High Violet - The National

2. Gorilla Manor - Local Natives

3. Odd Blood - Yeasayer
